- Backing model
- Debt instrument, not a share. The Final Terms state the securities are "derivative financial instruments (debt instruments) according to Swiss Law", structured as tracker certificates giving economic exposure to one underlying. Holders get no voting or other shareholder rights.
- Custodian
- Underlying shares are held at a prime broker/custodian, with collateral accounts governed by a three-party Account Control Agreement between the issuer, the custodian and an independent Security Agent who can take control of the collateral on issuer default. Backed does not publish a routine third-party reserve attestation.
- Redemption path
- Redemption is available to qualified/professional investors who pass KYC, not to the general secondary-market holder, and carries a minimum size (5,000 USD on the Kraken-distributed terms). The issuer may reject a redemption on adverse KYC/AML findings, and may terminate a product on at least 30 business days' notice.
